You Never Know What People May Be Going Through Behind Closed Doors

By

There are many people in life; and you never know what you’re going to get. You never know who you’re going to meet, what types of people you’re going to cross paths with, and what they may be dealing with behind closed doors. But if there’s one thing I can promise you, it’s that someone always has it worse.

That girl that you make fun of with “resting bitch face.” Her dad was just diagnosed with cancer. The boy who comes off as “quiet” and “sensitive.” He just found out that his biggest role model, and inspiring older brother, had been arrested for the fourth time. The “clumsy athlete” who just wants to fit in. His brother is severely autistic and has been placed in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

But many times, the people with the deepest, darkest secrets. With the most heart-wrenching, emotionally draining stories to tell, are the ones with the most strength and the biggest hearts you could ever imagine. Why? Because they know how it feels to be hurt. To be let down. To be crushed. To be stabbed in the back.

These people know how it feels to go through struggles, but they also know how to deal with them. Now, there is no certain way to get through any situation. Life is tough, and just when you think all is going smooth and well, it’s going to get tougher.

But then you can think of that girl with resting bitch face, that boy whose older brother is in jail, and that boy whose older brother is severely autistic. They’re living another day; they’re moving on and making the best of what they have.

Nothing is perfect. Nobody is perfect. And if you can acknowledge that, you have accomplished the first step in being positive and succeeding within your own life.
