1. The Notebook
Real-life couple Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling really pulled this ultimate hopeless romantic movie. The story of Allie and Noah really proves that love conquers everything, parental disapproval, side relationships, and even age.
This movie was the ultimate dancing movie of all time, totally tramps the Step Up series. “First love. First dance. The time of your life.” And yeah, one more thing. This movie teaches you that if someone really loves you, he’ll lift you up over his head. Nah, I’m just kidding.
I watched this movie when I was in 3rd grade, and believe me, this is the reason why I traded my Disney films for soppy, romantic films.
4. Pretty Woman
Pretty woman made me believe that everything will be better if you’re a hooker and you meet a handsome rich guy while trying to hook-up with you. Kidding. Julia Roberts plus an iconic Cinderella story is a winning combination.
Online romance never got any sweeter than this Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan- starrer. It’s adorable and sweet and just down-right cute.
Dubbed as the ultimate post break-up movie of all time, this will make you laugh so hard that you’ll be able to forget why started crying in the first place. Trust me, it wouldn’t be the ‘Ultimate Rom-Com Movie of all time’ if it sucked.
Love, Sex, Loneliness, and Plenty of humor. Will Bridget get the man of her life? AAAAND You have Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, now that’s hawt.
You’ll be saying ‘Awww’ for the next two hours when you watch this movie. I mean, from Pancake houses, to penguins, to winning the love of your life every single day? That is just so adorable.
9. Say Anything
Who would ever forget that scene when John Cusack hold a boombox over his head to win his girlfriend back? I mean, that is just so sweet! If someone does that to me, I will love him forever.
10. P.S. I Love You
I never stopped crying the moment I started watching the movie. Prepare your box of tissues, because you’ll be crying buckets and buckets of bittersweet tears.
11. Romeo and Juliet
And I mean the Leonardo DiCaprio version, not the other crappy ones. I know, I know, it’s overrated young love, but hey, it’s still timeless and just immortal.
12. Roman Holiday
Audrey Hepburn + a romantic holiday in Rome + a handsome guy in a black suit + the whole story happened in one day = Cutie patootie.
13. Sixteen Candles
John Hugh’s masterpiece. It’s something you’re gonna watch on your 30th high school reunion. Promise.
It takes you back to first loves and first dates and first heartbreaks. Plus, Bryce Loski and Julie Baker is the cutest young couple ever.
Amanda Seyfried and that guy with the hot british accent is just adorable. It makes me believe in second chances and true love.
16. 27 Dresses
“Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.” That tagline stuck like glue.
Serendipity is finding something good in unexpected ways, just like when I found this movie unexpected. Plus, John Cusack is one hot cheesy man.
