I Will Always Be Thankful I Found You

I can still remember the day I realized that you were the one. Everything was in slow motion. Everything was magical. That day, I never knew that I’d love you this much. We gave it a try. We made “us” happen. But then, every magic faded away. Every spark was gone. Everything has changed.

And yet, I’m still thankful that once in my life, I had you.

I am thankful for the days that you saved me. You were my hero. You were with me during the darkest days of my life. You were there to wipe those tears away. You were there to be a warrior of my battles. I never knew that you will turn out this way. I never knew that you will be one of the reasons why I’m not okay. You used to calm my storms.

By that, I will always thank you for being my vest when life’s slowly drowning me.

I am thankful for the times that you stayed beside me. Even in the toughest scenes of our relationship, you were there. You were my safe haven. You were my comfort zone. You made me feel those rainbows and butterflies. You made me see what something real looks like. All those hugs, kisses and sweet nothings were the best. I experienced all the great emotions because of you. It is always a great decision that I once chose you.

I am thankful for the moments that you made me the happiest. You were my sunshine. You made me feel that I’m the brightest star in your universe. You made me feel that I am a blessing. You made me feel alive. From your little efforts up to your grand gestures, you never failed to impress me. You were there to cheer me up. Because of you, I never felt that I am alone.

I am thankful for the days that you fought for me. We had a series of ups and downs throughout our relationship. It is you who made everything vivid. It is you who made me feel that what we have is worth all the risks. You were there to take the pain away. You were there to face every trial. We held hands as we conquer all the challenges.

We fought a good fight. Now, the war is finally over.

I am thankful for the times that you made me feel special. You were there to make me feel beautiful, every single day. You reminded me that I am more than enough. You were there to appreciate my flaws and adore every piece of it. You were there to pick me up even when the world’s against me. You were the light throughout my darkness. It may be difficult to shine again, but still, I’m still thankful for the glow that you lend me.

I am thankful for all the love that you gave me. You made me feel complete, admired and treasured. You were my sanity in this world full of uncertainty. I am grateful that I was once who your heart desires. I am grateful that once, you chose me over everyone else.

I will never regret that I loved you.
