5 Tips To Gain Self-Confidence

1. Don’t be insecure about how you look physically.

Insecurity will lead you nowhere. You get jealous of others’ physical aspects because you THINK that theirs is better than yours. You’re pulling yourself down with that kind of thinking. There should be no competition of who looks better. We all look differently. We have different bone structures, body frames, etc. You should be confident with how you look. Observe proper hygiene. If you have proper hygiene then you’re good to go. You just need to be presentable and clean when it comes to facing other people.

2. Self-confidence is not about, “They should like me.”

Self-confidence is all about, “I don’t care if they won’t like me as long as I’ll show them who I really am.”

You don’t need to adjust for other people. You just need to be you. You just need to be real. We all have different personalities and characteristics. You don’t need to change just for other people to like you.

3. Embrace and accept your flaws.

No one is perfect. We all have our own flaws. It’s given. Our flaws are what make us unique from one another. We should still be confident even if we have certain flaws. It shouldn’t stop us from facing other people confidently. Our flaws shape us.

4. Keep in mind that you can do it.

It’s all in the mind. Our minds could control our actions. If you will keep in mind that you’ll be confident then, you could be able to do what it takes to be confident all throughout.

5. Confidence isn’t walking into a room thinking you’re better than everyone.

It’s walking in not having to compare yourself to anyone at all.

We’re all different from one another. We may have some similarities with other people but that doesn’t mean that we’re totally the same person. You don’t need to compare yourself with anyone because if you do, you’ll definitely find them different than you. Someone will always be better than you in different aspects so there’s no point in thinking that you’re better than everyone.

Being confident is not a hard thing to do. You just need to know how to rock being confident. Self-confidence is needed these days because a lot of people pull themselves down thinking that they are not good enough. A person should be confident but he or she should not be boastful. Confidence is achieved through one’s own efforts and that shouldn’t be lost just because of a certain flaw or scenario. One’s self-confidence should be stable in his or her own life because that is a positive aspect that will take you where you want to be at in your life. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
