This Is Why You Feel Stuck In Your Early 20s, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Natalie Allen

(March 21st to April 19th)

You envy the people who are doing great in their careers. But you are too lazy to do something big and crazy in your profession. If you want to be as successful as the other person next to you, you’ll have to bust your ass. You can’t spend the rest of your 20s wishing to be like them. Use someone you look up to as an inspiration, but don’t look at them as competition. You’re not in a race with anybody but yourself.

(April 20th to May 21st)

The problem with you is that you don’t have a healthy relationship with your money. You spend your earnings like you don’t give a damn. When disaster strikes, you freak out because your lack of savings paralyzes your ability to be flexible. You are where you are simply because you can’t afford to be living somewhere else. Maybe not being so materialistic will help you save enough cash that you can use in emergency situations.

(May 22nd to June 21st)

Here’s the thing, Gemini, you feel stuck because you change your mind the same way you change your clothes. And you need to chill the heck up! It takes time for great things to transpire in your life. Unless you win the lottery, you will not be in a place that you want in a year or two. You have to stick to a consistent plan and allow yourself to grow with it. You will get there one day, wherever that is. But right now, just try to be okay with your circumstances.

(June 22nd to July 22nd)

Because a part of you dies each time you get rejected, you withhold yourself from making wild decisions. You like staying in your safe zone. You only pick the kind of game that you know you will win. The idea of gambling for your dreams is too overwhelming for you to consider. So you tell yourself that you’re satisfied with what you have in life right now. But of course, that’s a lie. You want to be someone more. The question is, when are you willing to do something bold to pull yourself out of the same circle?

(July 23rd to August 22nd)

Your ego is so huge that it affects your potential for success. We get it that you want to be perceived as the best. But overconfidence can draw you back from achieving your goals. Believing you can literally do everything, when in reality you can’t, will make you feel like a complete failure in the end. It’s always safe to assume that somebody out there is better than you are. That way you’ll learn how to be humble and keep your expectations at bay.

(August 23rd to September 22nd)

Perfectionism is your enemy. You won’t show everyone your piece of work unless you’re absolutely sure that it’s great enough to be worthy of attention. Yes, this is a valid reasoning sometimes. But you can’t be waiting for the right time in your early 20s to reveal your magic. Time plays an important role in unlocking your achievements. Stop tiptoeing around the what-ifs in your mind and just do it. You will be shocked at where your bravery can take you.

(September 23rd to October 22nd)

As much as possible, you don’t want to be hurting anyone’s feeling. Your selfless trait attracts peoples’ trust. Everybody loves you because you give way to them. But this behavior of putting yourself on a pedestal in favor of those around you is unnecessary when it comes to your ambitions. You will be stuck with where you are if you keep letting everyone advance over you. Fight for what you want just like all of us do. And don’t allow yourself to lose when your heart says you deserve to win.

(October 23rd to November 21st)

You’re not allowed to hate people because they have more bullets in their guns than you. Instead of wasting your time searching for answers about why your nemeses have better weapons, why don’t you work hard on becoming a better warrior? Jealousy will not help you move forward. So don’t let your insecurities eat you alive. You need to exert efforts if you want to make it to the top.

(November 22nd to December 21st)

Some days you wake up inspired and ready to make a change in the narrative of your story. Some days you get out of bed wanting life to just happen to you. Being motivated is something you’re not consistent with. If you want to see a steady growth and improvement in your skills, you should be willing to do the job even when you don’t feel like it. Otherwise, it will take you a long time to arrive at your dream destination.

(December 22nd to January 19th)

You always have something negative to say in every situation. Before acknowledging the benefits you can reap in overcoming the roadblocks that you see ahead, you’re already thinking of ways on how things can go wrong. It’s okay to be realistic. But it’s also okay to have hopes. Aim high. Believe that you are capable of getting anything that you want in this world. A little positivity won’t hurt you.

(January 20th to February 18th)

Maybe making reckless decisions is forgivable in the first two years of your 20s. I mean, you have so much time in your hands that you can afford to make mistakes and learn. But still carrying this philosophy when you turn 23 will be the beginning of your downfall. Life isn’t all fun and games, you know. There’s a certain point when you need to stop playing and start working. You don’t want to get pity from people someday because you got left behind.

(February 19th to March 20th)

Having feelings is not bad. But too much of them is no good either. Assuming nobody cares about what you’re going through will save you a ton of disappointments from everyone you work with. Sometimes people just don’t want to hear your drama because they have enough crap to worry about in the day. One of the things that you need to learn in your early 20s for you to be successful is how to not get too affected by your sentiments. You have to be able to distinguish when you’re allowed to feel, and when you need to toughen up and just swallow your emotions. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
