This Is For The People Who Stay Instead Of Leaving Us

Lately I have been thinking about the people who leave, focusing on those who hurt me, but what is more important, more meaningful, is the people who stay. The people who say I love you and mean it; who hold you together when you are falling apart.

Fierce female friends who remind you of who you are and where your life is heading, who remind you that you don’t need anyone else to be those things and do those things.

Wonderful women who stay up until the early morning listening and sharing, giving and taking equally and naturally as true relationships work. Human beings who have such beautiful souls that they remind you of all that is good in the world when it feels like yours is crashing down.

I am so grateful for the people who stay, because they are so much more than the people who leave. They are stronger; they are better. They keep be breathing, keep me moving, keep me looking forward. They deserve more than words I have written down; they deserve the world, because they are my world.
