You Cannot Empty Me

By

I am not a glass for you to drink from when you please,
to leave half empty when you are satisfied,
when your thirst quenched.

I am the pitcher
filling and refilling and ensuring none is empty,
providing to those who are not enough on their own.

I am the rain
pouring down on you, grazing your cheek,
reminding it how it feels to be touched so intimately.

I am the ocean
that ebbs and flows with every change of the tide, every storm,
that surrounds its world in a serene embrace

So you see, I cannot be a glass.
I cannot be emptied.
I am always full.
