She’s tired of being the nice girl. She’s sick of hearing the phrase “you’re sooooo nice!” She’s ready to break free of the chains that bind her heart on her sleeve. She believes she is kind, loving and generous but she knows there is so much more to her.

Sure, she is nice. But she is also a fierce warrior with a fiery passion for love and life.

She’s learned that being the nice girl isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. She knows it’s quite literally painful to be so nice sometimes. She’s discovered that others view her as a weak, easy target. She’s tired of sweetly and sincerely offering nice gestures only to find they are accepted to see how far she can be pushed. She’s plagued with constant judgment and assumptions that she’s fake. She asks how you are doing with a genuine smile and she honestly wants to know you better. She really does care and honestly wants to see if there is anything she can do for you.

She’s accepted that no matter how hard she works or how hard she tries, others will hate her simply because she is nice. She lives with a constant awareness that those around her think it’s not normal to simply be nice and secretly demand to expose an ulterior motive for her kindness.

She can make a genuine connection with everyone she meets, which proves especially difficult when it comes to dating. She’s inundated with situationships because she chooses to see the good in everyone and believes their intentions are true, but always ends up being walked all over like a doormat. She’s been tossed around, stepped on and carries a little dirt on her. But she’s nice and doesn’t have it in her to be a bitch, so she brushes it off and stands a little taller.

Fear flows through her veins when she ventures outside of her comfort zone. She usually sticks with her own kind, but she knows she needs to make a change. She’s tired of being a small fish in a big pond. She wants to take advantage of all that life has to offer.

She’s ready to find the love that makes her feel alive. She desires to lose herself in the wildest and most daring adventures that fill her dreams.

She believes this love is possible, and she knows when she finds it she will be viewed as more than the nice girl. She trusts that someone will come into her life and recognize her as a truly genuine, considerate nice girl. She knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that she will be known as more than the nice girl. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
