Be Prepared For An Adventure In The New Year

By

Remember above all things that life is messy sometimes and you’ll never be able to make sense of the complex Universe that we live in, but you aren’t meant to either. Just be sure to stay true to what you wanted for yourself all along when your vision towards the future becomes clouded, and when you become distracted just remind yourself why you started out on this journey in the first place. Don’t settle, whatever you do, do not settle because you’re afraid nothing better will come along because it will if you’re both brave enough to seek it out and patient enough to wait for what you deserve.

You’ll rarely be able to recognise the true purpose of most of the things you experience no matter how hard you try and often it’s not until you look back that things become much clearer; so, I hope you don’t waste too much time trying to figure it all out. The key to living is to be present and live in the moment, your past experiences matter but you often allow them too much control over how you go about your days, so this year I hope you find the best balance of living by your past, present and future. I hope you learn to live in the moment and I hope you learn that sometimes focussing too much on the future overshadows the beautifulness of your life right now.

Life can be great, and it can also be pretty damn hard as well, but you’ll gain more from it when you see that we’re meant to endure and enjoy this life simultaneously.

Learning to take the rough with the smooth will help you through this year, the best times you’ll remember fondly but the worst, well they have a purpose too. Difficult times will ignite a strength inside of you that you never knew existed, but this strength is vital because it will prepare you for each new journey you embark on.

The trick is to not let difficult times become who you are, become better because of them instead.

You can choose to be defined by things that break you or take control and define yourself by all the things that make you instead. Experiences are going to impact your life greatly and they will influence the person you are becoming, but inevitably it’s down to you to decide how much control each experience has on your life. In this new year along with laughter, love and achievements, you’ll most probably endure some pain and sadness too, but it’s important to remember that these moments don’t define you. Your flaws don’t define who you are either, and although they may seem obvious to you, they are not to outside world.

Learning to walk away from people and situations that don’t have a positive effect on you will be what shapes your year, so be mindful of where you spend your time and energy.

You’re only just realising the extent of your impact in this world and this year I hope you begin to value yourself more by all the wonderful things you bring to other people’s lives. Be brave and be bold. Own who you are and be proud. This new year is going to bring many new opportunities and experiences your way, it won’t always be pretty but it’s going to be powerful, so wave goodbye to all that 2017 has been and prepare yourself for a marvellous new adventure.
