They may have a brand new set of experiences with new lips to kiss, new eyes to gaze into, and a new hand to hold. Yet, they’ll say those same three words to someone else. How can that be? Don’t those words get cheapened the more they’re said?

I envisioned scenarios in which a man would fall in love with me, tell me how beautiful he finds me, how badly he wants me. Then he would take my clothes off only to feel immense disappointment. To see my body in all its imperfections and think this is not what I expected.
