You Are Entitled To Put Yourself First Because You Deserve It

It is perfectly fine for you to decline any meet-ups with friends or any potential dates. It is more than alright for you to shut the whole world around you for a while. There are days when you feel that you need to prioritize yourself and I say go for it. Take as much time as you need in your own bubble to get a breather from all of the chaos of this world.

Your soul is screaming for attention and it is important for you to attend to it. You should be the most important person in your life.

Nobody is obliged to take care of your needs but you. Others can only be your concern once you’ve taken care of yourself.

We busy ourselves with the problems of others that we ignore our own. In fact there’s this pretty sense of satisfaction when you managed to help someone out of their difficulties. As noble as it is to help others please remember to never deprive your own needs.

Prioritizing yourself is a selfless act. You do not have to feel guilty about it. Being alone allows you to do some reflection. It helps you re-evaluate your relationship with others and your goals in life. Now, there are no voices around to dictate how you should live your life. You’ll re-discover yourself and decide what is best for you. It allows you to improve your shortcomings and work on your strengths.

So take a step back and embrace the relationship you have with yourself. Learn to love yourself more. Learn to let go of all the things that are beyond your control. So the next time you ask someone how they are doing, stop for a second and ask yourself the same question. TC mark
