This is a letter to the man who enjoys my quirkiness, who is fascinated by my little word of happiness, who is captivated by my glittering eyes and is amazed by the books I read. This is for the man who finally found me. Before we take a leap of faith and dive into an ocean full of experiences, there is one thing I want you to know. I will always be the girl you met on the first day.
There will be times when I might just stop in the middle of the path, only to be in awe of a flower or a bird or simply gaze at the clouds passing by.
Don’t ask me to come right back, instead, join me in admiring the wonders of the nature, for I will always be the girl who dreams.
There will be times when I will ask you to sit with me in the balcony late at night, simply to watch the twinkling stars with mesmerizing eyes. Don’t say anything, instead, just sit back and enjoy the silence that we share, for I will always be the girl who enjoys the melody of the silence.
There will be times when I will pick up phrases and sing them in a tune or dance in rhythm to the music of the nature. Don’t tell me that I am being stupid, instead, grab my hand, dance with me and enjoy the madness, for I will always be the girl who is a child beneath for it’s the mind that matures but the heart, it never grows.
There will be times when I will lose my balance and it would have nothing to do with you. Don’t leave me or snap back at me, instead, take me in your arms, hold me tight and kiss me, for I will always be the girl who believes in the power of love.
Yes, we have plans to travel the world together, travel to the farthest ends of the world, but there will be times when I would want to travel to places all alone.
Don’t stop me from going on my adventures, instead, set me free and watch me grow, for I will always be the girl with a wild soul.
There will come a time when I will ask you to leave the city and live with me in the woods. Don’t fear, instead, trust me and come with me to live a life in the arms of the nature, for I will always be the girl who is a fringe dweller.
There will be times when I will meet men from different fields of knowledge and would be curious enough to kiss them. Don’t stop me from experiencing different tastes on my lips, instead, wait for me to come running back to you, for you know, my soul belongs to you and nothing could be greater than our love.
After years of searching in to different places, I have finally found myself and will not settle for a man who wants me, only to cage me. If you set me free and let me be me, I promise you eternal years of happiness, love, light and peace, for I will always understand you for understanding me.
