Self-discovery does not have a destination. Self-discovery it’s a journey. It is a scary and spectacular journey.
It takes great courage to shift from invisibility to being seen and valued. It takes great courage to be willing to lose others rather than continue to lose yourself.
Don’t let this world kill your compassion. Don’t let them make you cold.
Take an hour of your day to do something you enjoy, but never feel like you have time for.
You are always, always stronger than you think.
It’s okay if you don’t know what you’re doing with yourself and your life, it’s okay if you’ve messed up in your past because your past doesn’t define you and neither do your mistakes. You are so much more than the decisions you used to make.
You are not a failure or undeserving of respect just because there are those who have failed to give you the love that you deserve.
It’s terrifying to feel like your grasp on life is suddenly broken. It’s overwhelming to feel like you don’t know what to do with yourself, or where to go next.
Your feelings matter. They’re not too much or too strong or too annoying. They’re not unrealistic or crazy or naive. They’re you. They’re your depths and your emotions and they matter.
Even if it seems like the entire world is against you, even if some days you feel purposeless, even if sometimes you stare at the clock on the wall and wonder what it all means. What you are doing matters.
