You are not defined by your pain, by your past, by what has broken you. You are defined by how you believe and by how you rise.
This year I thought I might reflect on how to get to this place, how to live and approach life so that at 30, you can honestly feel like you’ve left nothing on the table.
I don’t mind if I live in a very simple world. As long as I’m in the place where I can immediately find peace. As long as I’m doing what I’m passionate about. As long as I get to see the person that I love every single day of my life.
It’s too stressful to live like we’re dying. For now, we’re not. We should rejoice in that.
Focus on the positive.
You’ll live a thousand lives in the one life you’ve been given, will begin again at so many different points and in so many different ways. So relish each beautiful second.
One day you will be working and in the midst of it, you will realize with a happy shock that you are content to be where you are.
Focus on one thing at a time. Remember: Making it easier is making it achievable.
Pain is inevitable. But that doesn’t mean we give up hope. We just have to shift our perspective.
The beautiful thing about your lowest point, about reaching an end, about falling and crashing and hitting the ground, is that the only direction you can take from here is up.
