What I do know for sure, is that if you find it, if you are lucky enough to find it, don’t ever let it go. Don’t ever say goodbye to that kind of love. Because love as it turns out, is rare. So don’t ever let it go if it comes your way, please don’t.
He’s always there in the morning. After every fight. After every stumbling moment.
I have found love. In fragments. Found them in different people. And every time I encountered a piece of love, I would think I have found the whole of it.
I hope in the New Year, you quit lying to yourself about what you really want and find the courage to go after it.
This is certainly not to provoke sympathy. This is to confess.
Just because someone fails to see your value doesn’t decrease your worth. Remember that.
My question is: why do so many people of my generation, generation Y, believe they “deserve” anything?
Having the amount of connection with your family that is healthy and positive for you. There is no set amount of attachment that one needs with the people they were born into, and if you are in an abusive or hostile environment, you don’t owe anyone your time.
I was not lucky to have you. I was not chosen by some divine spirit who looked past my physical flaws to gift me with your half-hearted attention.
You deserve to look for love, if that’s what you want, and be ready to accept it when it comes your way.
