Know that your own heart is good and live your life with the best intentions and never apologize if someone doesn’t like that. Apologize if you have intentionally inflicted harm on another, but not if you spoke your truth and it bothered them.

One sentence, three words, changed the course of my life. I left my job in search of something else, something authentic. I made a promise to “find something authentic.”

You know the type. Standing in the circle, but rolling eyes, or half-chuckling at whatever hilarious, yet profound thing you just said. And then, once they’ve had enough of that, hopefully they wander away, and don’t actively seek to leave a wake of destruction made of you and your self-worth.
