5 Things To Remind Yourself About The Toxic People In Your Life (They’re Not Worth It)

By

1. If they ever make you feel like you are the problem, you are not. They are the problem.

I learnt this through various experiences where I felt like I was not good enough or that I feel why are people so shit to me even if I was so nice to them? Most of the time it is due to their own insecurities which is why they vent it out on others and it makes it feel that you are the problem of that situation.

2. If they say to change something about yourself, don’t. Only change yourself for you, and no one else.

If someone tells you that you should be of a certain way or that you are not cut out for this or that due to you not being familiar with a situation, do not let that be a setback for you. Use this as an opportunity to show others that you can excel at new things and you don’t owe anyone a living and the only person you answer to, is yourself. Don’t change the way you are for people that feel threatened by you.

3. If they don’t accept you as you are, they never will and don’t let that dishearten you.

You can’t please everyone and so what if you can’t because everyone has different opinions and just because this one is rather different and constructive doesn’t make you any less awesome than you already are!

4. If they say to quit doing something you love, don’t.

Words are sharp. Words linger. I get it but don’t lose sleep over an opinion of a sheep. You are better and stronger than this. People are threatened by others who can do a better job than them and even more threatened when a person is beautiful inside out. Don’t let that stop you from hustling!

5. If they make you feel any less of a human, they aren’t worth worrying about.

If they make you feel like a freak. If they say you have issues and problems that you need to sort out. Don’t worry over what they say. Worrying gets you thinking but nowhere. People only say that to you because they feel that they have to put someone down to make them feel better about themselves. Most of them are often insecure about themselves and are a contradiction if you were to dig deeper into their stories. You don’t need to worry. You don’t have to lose sleep. You don’t need get troubled by people’s words.

You only answer to yourself.

You don’t need to prove to anyone.

You are you.

Remember that and if anyone makes you feel otherwise, THEY aren’t worth your time.

In years to come, these people wont even matter anymore and you’d smile to yourself knowing that worrying about them was a joke.
