11 Reasons Why They’re Your Best Friend

By

1. You laugh so hard together, you cry.

There’s so much laughter when you’re together. The things you say probably aren’t even funny to other people, but the two of you will laugh so hard you cry.

2. You support each other when you panic.

Failing a final exam is an actual crisis, and they will call you freaking out about it. On the other hand, they don’t know what to wear and they’re just as upset about it. Either way, you’re there to help them through it.

3. Everything is an adventure.

We don’t have to travel or do something new to go on an adventure. A trip to the local Target is just as great. Wherever you go and wherever you are is fun with them.

4. You’re fiercely loyal to one another.

You can bet your bottom dollar that if you hear someone insult your best friend, that person is cruisin’ for a bruisin’. It’s that simple.

5. They know the little things about you.

They know your favorite drink from the local coffee shop. Or the fact that you really hate raisins in your trail mix. Whatever movie, food, or outfit you love, they will remember. Treasure that.

6. Embarrassing moments aren’t embarrassing with them.

Oh, you tripped over your own two feet? Hold up, I have to take a picture of you on the ground while laughing hysterically.

7. Fights don’t last.

It will be over in about 5 minutes. Enough said.

8. You celebrate each other’s success.

The minute something amazing happens in your life, they are the first person you call. In fact, if they post something about it on social media without telling you first, it’s almost an insult. They are just as happy about your latest accomplishment, if not happier. That’s true friendship status.

9. You share the sounds of silence.

One of the most underrated comforts in life is silence. You don’t feel the need to break the silence. You’re perfectly content with them, and that’s a really nice feeling.

10. They don’t judge you, but they will make sure you’re on the right path in life.

Everyone makes bad decisions, but instead of judging you about it, they are there for you. They make sure you are making the right choices and surrounding yourself with the right people. They keep you accountable. A real friend won’t judge you for the unfortunate choices you make. Rather, they will help you fix it or tell you to get it together. [Without sounding like a mom.]

11. You can’t imagine life without them.

Life wouldn’t be as fun. Tough times would be tougher. In fact, imagining life without them puts a damper on your day. The joy that they bring to life surpasses anyone else you know.
