The World Seems To Have Stopped, Except For Us, And It Is Extremely Unsettling

I am terrified right now. I drove up Route 84 and I’m somewhere between New Brockton and Elba. We’re alone right now, at this rest stop. My phone signal keeps flicking between 4G and 1G.

Along the way, I saw vacant parking lots and empty stores. It was as if people vanished into thin air. My mother says she saw a vehicle behind us, but I saw nothing. Is she seeing things, or am I missing things? I haven’t seen a plane or helicopter in the sky. It’s so crystal blue, you can see miles and miles ahead of you. It’s eerily quiet, except for our engine idling.

Oh, I almost forgot:

I saw this a couple miles back.

Is the CDC doing something? Is that why we haven’t seen anyone on the road? Do they have jurisdiction over the army, or are they working in tandem?

I don’t know where we’re going, but for now, we’re headed north.
