Open Letter To An Unfaithful Ex

By

You should be sorry for telling me you were single when you weren’t.

You should be sorry for asking me out to dinner when you knew you were going to make up an excuse so you didn’t have to go.

You should be sorry for telling me I was special even though you think I’m just as average as the rest of the girls you talk to.

You should be sorry for asking me to have a threesome with my cousin.

You should be sorry for lying to my face about how you didn’t want anybody else.

You should be sorry for stringing me along for two years when you really didn’t care.

You should be sorry for turning my best friend and me against each other.

You should be sorry for having sex with her behind my back.

You should be sorry for lying about it after you were caught.

Twice.

You should be sorry for contacting me months after I finally got over you.

You should be sorry for telling me you loved me when you didn’t.

You should be sorry for criticizing me a week later for thinking you may have meant it.

You should be sorry for telling our mutual friends that they weren’t allowed to talk to me.

You should be sorry for claiming to be “in love” with multiple girls at once.

You should be sorry for calling me a dirty bitch for responding when one of those girls reached out to me.

You should be sorry for the fact that one of those girls was my best friend.

You should be sorry for using the same lines on all of us, because you weren’t even creative enough to treat us differently.

You should be sorry for all of the disgusting things you’ve said behind each one of our backs.

You should be sorry for all the things that are too vile for me to ever say, even to strangers.

You should be sorry for individually degrading each of the girls you have ever claimed to care about.

You should be sorry for always failing to realize when you are in the wrong.

You should be sorry, but you’re not.

And I’m just sorry it took me this long to figure that out.
