Watch 'Pot Shop,' A Hilarious Parody Of Macklemore And Ryan Lewis' 'Thrift Shop'
Yale grad and stand-up comic Steve Berke, who once ran for mayor of Miami Beach (?), just dropped “Pot Shop,” a HILARIOUS parody of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ viral smash “Thrift Shop.” But it isn’t just a parody for the sake of it — there’s some real meaning behind the video, like let’s crack down on the war on pot, everyone!
You know, I’m so happy for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Those white dudes are really blowin’ up. They’re not newcomers by any means, but by now pretty much everybody is getting into them, and their “debut” album The Heist is doing really well. They even have the No.1 song on the iTunes singles chart, which is awesome. But in our generation, the real gauge of success is how many parodies of your song/video live on YouTube. Treat yourself to the two videos and compare for yourself. Like you needed any more reasons to smoke pot.
You try, and you try, and you try, and you try. But sometimes, love is not enough. You don’t understand. You don’t know what to do.
“Has anyone ever told you that you kind of look like Mr. Squidward from SpongeBob Squarepants? Only when you squint and make that face — the one I really hate.”
We neglect that we are one, an entity.
I may not be with anyone, but I’ve got enough self-respect to know that I deserve someone who values me. I don’t deserve someone that treats me so appallingly, and neither does she.
