Now don’t get me wrong, we still have a few BASIC girls out there that do it for the “insta”, or the image or whatever you want to call it. But there are a lot of people, especially Millennials, who are actually very intentional and conscientious with their purchases. These are people who know they can make a difference, however large or small.
Stage 2: The Stubborn Standoff
Where I’ve really noticed a difference is at work, and I know what you’re thinking, but YES an activity completely unrelated to my work helps me do a better job.
Consignment stores are your friend. Not only will consignment stores pay you for your clothes (as long as you’ve kept them in decent condition) but you can get some pretty amazing deals yourself.
Love yourself and your body. This is so so important. Stop looking at instagram and the media, these people are not real, these people are not what you should idealize. We all have unique stories, experiences, quirks and strengths.
Not having a sense of direction can be confusing, so set goals and work backwards from there to implement a plan of action.
