Blind Man Is One Talented Painter

What is the issue?

Do you watch the evening news? No? Well, no matter: the Internet is, among other things, a morning-after party of last night’s news stories, which are often stories that have been on the Internet for ages. But last night’s CBS Evening News ran an original and pretty moving story about John Bramblitt, a husband, father and artist who went blind at the age of 30 due to complications from epilepsy. Bramblitt has figured out how to paint just by feeling the paints: he says different colors have different textures. He’s also painted some stunning likenesses of people (including Tony Hawk) just by feeling their faces as he works. And the results appear to be not only uplifting but actually good. TC mark
