Matthew McConaughey’s New HBO Show Looks Like The Next Critically-Acclaimed Series We’ll All Be Shouting About

With Breaking Bad coming to a satisfyingly dramatic ending, many of us will be looking for a new television show to talk about with a revelatory zeal. Might want to check out this trailer for True Detective, a crime thriller that follows multiple timelines in order to trace two detectives’ hunt for a Louisiana serial killer over a seventeen year span. It stars McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, and looks DAMN good.
The first season will span eight episodes, and the series as a whole will follow the American Horror Story model–meaning that the next season will feature new storylines, and possibly all new characters. Depending on how this season goes, could be the start of a cool system that plugs in A-Lister after A-Lister.
