5 Reasons Pinterest May Be Your Key To Happiness

By

I work with women from many walks of life. Stay at home moms, young women, retirees. All of you have one thing in common. You’re all searching for that ONE thing that makes you truly happy.

After careers, children and life happens, or sometimes in the midst of it all, at some point we all have the desire to connect with the one thing that makes us truly happy. Soul-fulfilling happy. Here’s what you can learn about your own happiness just by signing into your Pinterest account.

1. True happiness

True happiness is lurking behind your fear. Pinterest is a safe place to “pin” all the things you wish you could do or would have done and even allows for secret boards for women who dream of travel, baking, creating projects or even tap into their inner fashionista. It’s a great place to “dream” in color and can possibly reveal more about your true self that you realize.

2. Being Genuinely Happy

Being happy requires you to look at the things and people you love. It means being who you were, before the world told you who to be. Pinterest allows you to be “virtually” anyone or anything you wish to be. If you were a stranger looking at your own Pinterest board, who would you think you were? Is that virtual person a reflection of who you really are?

3. Aligning your life through Pinterest

Being aligned means that you live your life in a way that is in direct relationship to the things and people you love. That may be your family, travel, lifestyle ideas, etc. Whatever that is for you, most likely those things have been pinned on your Pinterest board in some sort of order. Take a peek and decide if there is a disconnection between what your life is and what you want it to be.

4. Practice Gratitude

Gratitude comes in many shapes and sizes. You may not be someone who daily practices gratitude in out loud fashion but most likely, somewhere on your Pinterest board, there are inspirational quotes, beautiful reminders of a better tomorrow and potential for gratitude. Taking a peek at those daily serves as gratitude and is an excellent way to stay connected to the blessings in your life.

5. Self-Care

Self-care is crucial in order for us to become the very best versions of ourselves so that we may in turn be the best we can be for others. If you’re someone who pins exercise routines, workout plans, pictures of fit women, etc. but never acts on them, it’s time to take a clue from Pinterest and get moving!
Long gone are the days of the ancient vision board where people all over the world cut and pasted images of lives they dreamed of having. Most everyone now has a Pinterest account that reveals their happiness, wishes and dreams.

You can learn a lot about yourself from your Pinterest board and I encourage you to take a look with a different perspective. What does your board say about you? Can you incorporate one thing from your Pinterest account into your actual life that can promote a little happiness into your day, week, Life?

You have created a visual board, dedicated to the things you love, commitments never made and lives never lived. Now is the time. If you can pin it, you can manifest it into your life and it all starts with the click of a mouse!
