Dating someone in law school is like dating a crack addict looking for their next fix. They have the constant itch to think about what their professor thought of their answer in class, what chapter they need to read, or what paper they need to finish.
Finding and scoring a rebound is like a high five to yourself. Breakups can knock people down a peg or two — but rebounds are the perfect way to combat those lonely blues.
Don’t ask someone to meet your friends as “the next logical step in a relationship” even if you don’t see the “relationship” going anywhere.
We just deserved better, and as perfect as we seemed to be, it wasn’t the right fit.
Who you are now is someone I don’t know. And that is something I can accept, I will move on, heal, and grow stronger.
