I See You, Even When You Don’t See Yourself

By

Let’s start with something simple by saying, I see you.
I see you when you enter the room and how your eyes light up the room and smile appears on all our faces.
I see you when you’re confused, you’ll flash that shy smile and laugh because you’re indecisive on what to do.
I see you when you’re sad, you’re unusually quiet and your sad tweets and make their way in my timeline
I see you when you’re excited, you can’t stay calm and you count the days or hours left before it happens.
But more importantly, I see you even when you think nobody is there for you. I see the struggles you face everyday,
I see the gossip and rumors you’re trying to ignore, I see how hard you push yourself just so you could keep your place,
I see you, even when you fail to see yourself.

You have to understand that you are not your mistakes, you are not your insecurities, you are not your failed relationships,
you are not somebody’s unrequited love, you are not your parents expectations or society’s boundaries, you are not your failures,
you are not the rumors and the gossips, you are not your grades and you are definitely not a mistake.

It’s like you swimming, your performance everyday is different and the water will not always be on your side,
it changes it’s wave and current everyday. So I hope you get the chance to hope,
to hope in something greater than your problems, you get a chance to hope in yourself.

I hope that there are days when you fall in love with yourself,
I hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive. I hope there are days when you fall in love with being alone,
I hope there are days when you fall in love with living your life because you are, right now, just a small spectacle of what your life is going to be like.

You have to know, you have to know that you are your accomplishments, you are your process,
you are worthy of a love that fights and stays, you are your own realities and your own goals, you are your solutions,
you are the beauty in every perspective of the beholder, you are one of a kind, you are your achievements, you are your own hero.

Every day, every day you are given a chance to love yourself, to love your life.
Try, to start with yourself. Try to love yourself as much as you want someone else to and I promise you that
nothing can harm you and you will be given nothing but the best.

I see you, so I hope you start looking at the mirror and see yourself too.
