Amid the hustle and bustle of this workaday world, we often find ourselves alienated from our spiritual core. Our chakras become rusty and our chi acquires an unpleasant and distasteful taint. We become lost in the stresses and demands that modern life places upon us, and as the tension builds, we often get frightened and make hasty, unwise decisions such as killing others in the tens of millions. From both a spiritual and legal standpoint, this can become problematic.
We’re all meant to walk along the same path together, but some of us often take unfortunate detours.
The following epigrams are, as best as I can verify, actual quotes from men who strayed so far from their inner goodness, they caused untold human suffering and likely accrued literal bales of bad karma. They weren’t bad people…there are no bad people…they simply did bad things.
But as these quotes demonstrate, they also held a flickering candle of good in each one of their hearts.
If something got lost in translation, or even if these quotes are entirely misattributed, they all hold a precious life lesson for each of us, if you are only willing to breathe deeply and inhale their wisdom.
