20 Things All Men Should Strive To Do Daily

By

Disclaimer: I don’t necessarily live out all of these things perfectly, but these twenty points are what I strive to do on a daily basis. I am constantly in pursuit of becoming a better man of God, husband, and friend to those around me. Join me on this journey of becoming a better man.

1. Treat women with respect.

Simple. All men should strive to treat women with the respect and purity they deserve.

2. Work hard to provide for their families.

Regardless of your relational status, working hard to provide for your household is something all men should do on a daily basis.

3. Stay away from pornographic material.

It’s not worth it. Not only are you hurting your own heart, but you are putting material in your head that will forever change the way you view your personal relationships. Strive for purity. No women deserves to be compared to something you watched online. Not to mention how many women are trafficked into the sex-trade industry each year. Viewing pornography isn’t worth those few moment of pleasure. Need help overcoming this? Check out websites like xxxchurch.com, or seek someone who is a specialist in this field.

4. Spiritually lead their families.

All men are called to lead their families spiritually. Whether this be through prayer, reading your bible, or even waking everybody up for church, you are called to lead your family in the ways of the Lord.

5. Keep their promises.

An honest man is a man people like being around. Not only will this build stronger personal relationships, but it will also give you the upper hand in the work place. Your integrity isn’t worth losing over a few broken promises. Show people that you mean what you say. Let your yes be yes, and your no be no.

6. Keep up a good reputation.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I encourage you to do whatever it takes to keep a good reputation with the people around you.

7. Seek to learn and grow.

Try out a new skill set, sport, or even ask someone to teach you something you’ve always dreamed of doing. Don’t settle more the mediocre life when God has called you to live one that’s beyond ordinary.

8. Forgive others for their mistakes.

Remember, someone once forgave you for something you did in the past. Forgiveness goes a long way in relationships, friendships, and even in the work place. Don’t be known as the guy who holds grudges. There is no such thing as someone who is too forgiving.

9. Offer to help those in need.

Whether it be a friend, a family member, or even someone you just met on the street, offer to help them if you notice they need assistance. There is nothing like being known as the man who goes out of his way to help people in need.

10. Show their loved ones they care.

Never let a day go by that doesn’t consist you showcasing love and affection to those you consider closest to you. Life is short, and you never know what can happen.

11. Pray for wisdom and guidance.

Don’t try and do things on your own. Seek God’s wisdom and guidance in all things.

12. Manage their money responsibly.

Don’t be frivolous with your money. Learn to spend your money wisely, honorably, and diligent. If you aren’t great when it comes to finances, ask someone to help you better your skills. You will always find benefit in learning to manage your income.

13. Learn a new skill or talent.

Don’t stop growing your list of trades. Take lessons, watch an instructional video, or even just go for it on your own. You can never learn enough skill sets, and I believe doing this will give you a broader view on life and your future.

14. Showcase leadership.

Leadership isn’t built in a day, but it can be showcased daily. Be the first to step up to the plate, and show others that you are willing to take lead when a leader is needed.

15. Control their tempers.

Not all men struggle with anger, but you’d be surprised to know how many actually do. Strive to control your temper daily, and always take time to think before you speak.

16. Offer to help a stranger.

Pay for someone’s coffee, groceries, or even help somebody fix a flat tire. Go out of your way to help someone you would consider a stranger. Why? Because out of it you may just find a new friend. There are plenty of bad people in this world, and it’s time that men start rising up to be the change in this category.

17. Read a book or blog.

Find something that interests you. A leader is a reader. And whether you like reading books, articles, or even a blog by your favorite author, I’d guide you to make it a point to read on a daily basis.

18. Eat something healthy.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Ya, it will also keep you healthy and a little more energized. There is nothing wrong with a burger and fries, but I would encourage you to start introducing some healthy foods into your diet as well. God gave you this body, so it’s only fair that you strive to take care of it.

19. Do something out of the ordinary.

Be bold, daring, and do something that other would consider out of the norm. Don’t live life in comfort. Go on an adventure, learning something new, and open your eyes to something you’ve never experienced before.

20. Live humbly.

Work hard. Stay humble. Nobody likes being around an arrogant jerk. Make it a point to stay humble in all that you do. Not only will people enjoy being around you more, but your relationships with friends and family members will change for the better.
