I Am Living In My Own Fucking System — Where I Give The Middle Finger To The Man, And Eat Sheep For Breakfast

By

I was talking to a lawyer once and I asked him if he liked his job.

I would hate to be a lawyer, so I sometimes assume that other people would hate to be a lawyer.

He told me he loved it. He also told me that he takes off every few months to travel–to maintain balance and well being.

He used to live in Hawaii, and surf. “I’m a non conformist, conformist.”

I laughed. I wonder how many non conformists are conforming.

There are sheep who are not aware they are sheep–living in the system, getting the piece of paper, the house, the 9-5 who might not even be aware that it’s all a fabricated lie someone’s father taught someone’s father and then we were all too afraid to open our mouth and do different.

My brand ‘This Is For The Women‘ is bold.

I have “fuck” across my chest and across my book.

I feel a big “fuck you” to the system. To red tape.

To “the way it is just because it’s the way it is”.

To people’s willingness to lay down and die in a life that is parched dry of the authenticity of their souls.

I also have a big fuck you in my book, my company and my moral code for patriarchy.

For the man being served first, getting the biggest bowl, the most respect.

For the woman to spend all day supporting the bread winner.

I have a big “fuck you” inside to military. To the people who created military to make money and then trained boys to shoot guns and kill people and masked it up in courage and pride. Killing someone isn’t courageous.

I hate the military. I wish it didn’t exist.

All of these get a big resounding “fuck you” from the bottom of my heart.

Systems, papers, old expired ways of thinking and doing.

And are we even aware that we are sheeps?

And if we are aware, and we hate abiding and appeasing, why the fuck are we still doing it?

Sometimes I worry with the title of my book that people with think I’m a punk ass millennial giving middle fingers to the old guy crossing the road.

I wonder if my title is “too much” but then there’s moments like today where I realize our world still needs someone to say “fuck you” to the system.

The world still needs someone to say “fuck you” to the man.

The world needs fucking feminism.

The world needs to be shocked out of believing they have to wake up to an alarm clock that screams, coffee spitting in a stained yellow coffee pot, the I-5 crammed at 4 AM with thousands of other sheeps who were all kidded by the system to believing that that is the way. The only way. And if you don’t–then your parents won’t love you, your friends will abandon you and you’ll be forced to live amongst the other stubborn outcasts and rebels who put the Koolaide in their mouth and just as quickly spit it out, while looking into the eyes of the man of the system and said, “This is a trap” and walked away.

You aren’t trapped.

You have legs that move, arms that swing, a heart that screams, a mouth powered by a tongue waiting to speak.

Don’t kid me, or your parents or your partner or your children–you had a choice, and you have a choice and you’re choosing wrong.

Unless you wake up content in your heart, then fuck me, I know nothing.

But if you wake up without contentment in your heart and you sleep in a bed that isn’t yours, in a house you don’t wish to own, and go to a job where you count the clock–then I wrote my book for you. And I will walk around the street in my This Is For The Women gear shocking the gonads off your grandma because we don’t have to live in the system.

I am living in my own fucking system.

I am a non conformist, in everything I do, say, create, live and love.

And when I think about shit like that, I’m sure as fuck glad I titled my book “This Is For The Women Who Don’t Give A Fuck” and I’m sure as fuck glad that thousands of my shirts are draped over women’s bodies creating and shaking the system we have outlived and out run.

The only man I’m interested in fucking is the one in my bed, not the one in the sky and definitely not the one who created a trap that we all follow aimlessly–while we throw our power away each day abiding.

They didn’t take your power. You gave it to them.

Don’t give it to them.
