Entitled Teen Honor Roll Student Kills Parents Because They Took Away His iPod

By

This week, 16 year old Virginia resident Vincent Parker admitted to beating his mother to death with a baseball bat and crowbar after dousing her with pepper spray and stabbing her in the eye. He then waited until his father got home and then attacked him with a crowbar and stabbed him repeatedly. The reason Parker gave for murdering both of his parents? He felt he’d been disciplined too much.

“I just remember getting mad. It’s all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff.”

Parker, an honor roll student with a clean criminal record, has pleaded guilty to both murders but his extended family seems bewildered as to the brutality of the murders. Investigators estimate that Parker stabbed and struck his mother a total of 25 times however a psychiatric evaluation determined that Parker was both intelligent and sane.

“He is a smart young man. He is smart in school. I don’t know what happened.”

Asked if he could ever forgive Vincent, the boy’s grandfather replied. “Well, yes, I have. Because if I don’t forgive him, who will? We had to give it to God,” he said. “He is the only one who can help us now.”

Parker will be sentenced as an adult but Parker’s attorney is requesting the boy be allowed to serve some of his sentence in a juvenile facility. His grandfather is hoping for a shorter sentence than the maximum.

“I want him to get some type of counseling. Help him to grow up and be an understanding man. Be sorry for what he did do.
