We all come to a point in our lives where we have to decide who we are and whether we’re going to stand up for our beliefs or simply go along with things we disagree with for the sake of convenience or a paycheck. It’s so much easier sometimes to just do nothing. Russia Today anchor Liz Wahl chose to take action last week when she announced publicly from behind her anchor’s desk that she would be resigning from Russia Today due to the station’s “whitewashing” of the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Crimea, Ukraine. In a time of increased media consolidation, this was a rare deviation from the script.
