Disturbing Security Footage Shows Chinese Mother Killed By Escalator After Saving Son

This video is eerily disturbing. As security guards chat in the background, we see a mother and her son ascending up a rather safe-looking elevator. The suddenly, the floor collapses underneath them.

The mother is pulled under, but not before she uses her last breath to push her son to safety. The son is grabbed by two mall employees, who then attempt to help the mother, but to no avail.

A four hour rescue attempt found the mother dead. The mall has done everything in their power to cover-up the incident, angering the victim’s family.

“The shopping mall is still open and the killer escalators are still running,” the victim’s sister-in-law said, “Shoppers have no idea about the tragedy upstairs and no one knows if such disasters will strike again.”

According to CNN, the shopping mall and the elevator maintenance company are not commenting.
