29 Creepy Ass Phone Call Stories That Will Make You Toss And Turn Tonight

25. A man threatened to murder me

Maybe not such a creepy story, but it was rather bizarre.

I once got a phone call from a number that had an area code that was for my location, it was one of the alternate numbers that people get sometimes. It was uncommon, but recognizable. Well, I had been waiting for a call from my district manager to see if I was being moved to a new store location that I had been requesting. I didn’t have his personal number but I assumed it may be him.

So I answer this call with a prompt “hello” and right away the person on the other line is screaming insults and death threats. I hung up. Well it calls back again and I make out one sentence, something about me sleeping with this dudes girlfriend and so on. I had recently had a fling with a girl I had known for a few years and it was short lived, a week at most. I never thought to ask about her having a boyfriend and had just assumed she didn’t have one.

The guy finally calms the fuck down and I start trying to talk. Come to find out, his girlfriend had given him a fake number that was supposed to be the guy she had slept with. He calmed down, said he was sorry and we had a good laugh. We exchanged some info and he ended up following me on social media. A few months pass and the dude ends up in a class with me at my college the next semester. We ended up becoming friends and still are to this day.

Anyways, I didn’t get moved to the store I wanted, but I made a new friend because his girlfriend was a whore.

26. A man who had hit on me called me up like a lunatic

One time I gave this guy my number. He calls me one night mumbling incoherently. The cackling of a fucking madman. He was high out of his mind on something. I work with dementia patients and I’ve yet to encounter such word salad. I have no clue what happened to him, but he never called again and I never saw him around town. Fucking eerie.
