10 Songs I Will Always Sing With You Part 2
1. Brown-Eyed Girl – Van Morrison
Do you remember when…we used to say…SHANANANANANANA. Oh, I remember. I remember because I sang it every time.
2. I Wanna Dance With Somebody – Whitney Houston
Shout out also to “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay” and “I Have Nothing.”
3. Don’t Cry Out Loud – any version
Baby cried the day the circus came to town…. This song is ridiculous but the chorus is amazing and you can’t not sing along with it. DON’T CRY OUT LOUDDDDDDD.
4. American Girl – Tom Petty
This is my friend Kim’s favorite song and I suspect she thinks it was written about her, just you know a few decades too early? Or okay, maybe all of us wish this song was about us.
5. Believe – Cher
Someone mentioned this song in the comments of the last post and I was like THAT IS BRILLIANT. I’d forgotten about this song, but oh no. No one forgets about Cher. This is one of the most memorable choruses ever.
6. Take Me Home Tonight – Eddie Money
Anything that references the Ronettes has my attention (check out “Be My Baby,” Phil Spector did some awesome shit before he was a murderer). But this chorus is fantastic. If you are drunk and in need of something to sing before you have a one night stand, I recommend Eddie Money.
7. Total Eclipse of the Heart – Bonnie Tyler
Have you guys seen the literal version of this video? It’s amazing. Go watch it. TURN AROUND BRIGHT EYES.
8. Torn – Natalie Imbruglia
This might actually be one of my favorite songs. My boyfriend and I just sang this together at karaoke and it was amazing. If this comes on the radio, everyone better shut up and start singing.
9. Don’t Bring Me Down – ELO
Ever put on your headphones and listen to this as you walk through the city and pretend you’re in a movie about your life? Nope. Me neither.
10. I Can’t Fight This Feeling Anymore – REO Speedwagon
Do you love someone? Do you want to show them you love them? Get out there and play this for them and sing your heart out. You’re getting closer than you ever thought you might!
And none for “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Don’t Stop Believing,” bye. Replace them with “Under Pressure” and “Born To Run” and then we can talk.

The sex that most people are doing now is actually just an invention of the patriarchy. It’s rape.
Do good things come to those who wait? Or do good things come to those who go out and get them?
It’s not too late to start seeing the little things – to start adding to them and appreciating them; to start guiding and cherishing them.
Hi, I’m the new girl and I have a few things to say to you.
