Read This When You Feel Sad, But Can’t Figure Out The Reason Why

By

It is all right, and it is okay, to be sad.

Just in case you did not know, you are not weird, unusual, stupid, pathetic, annoying, childish, crazy or anything else that might have crossed your mind during the times you were vulnerable, during the times you could not stop crying.

During the times your heart just could not seem to be happy. During the times you were simply sad. During the times you could not feel. During your helpless times.

Yes, it is okay to feel blue without a reason. Even when everything is going okay — you sent in your assignment on time, your parents love you, your boyfriend or girlfriend gets you, you are the luckiest person alive — even then it is okay to feel sad.

You are NOT ungrateful for being sad. It’s a feeling. You don’t usually control feelings. They have a mind of their own, as frustrating as it may be.

You may feel like it’s not fair. To yourself. To other people. There’s no reason to be sad, but you’re just sad.

I don’t know how many times I can say this and stress this: It is all right.

You are entitled to your feelings. A feeling is a feeling, no matter how irrational it may be. A feeling is just something that cannot be controlled. It is a feeling. So, just feel. Let it be.

And fight. Fight your battles, fight your demons and do not, ever, let them get to you.

Fight your battles, because you deserve more than this. You deserve more than what you are feeling. You deserve to feel the world. To taste the freedom, and get out from these monsters inside your head.

Fight, because you deserve to live. You deserve to be happy, to grow old with your loved ones, to be able to say, “I made it. I am living the dream.”

You deserve everything — not only the things that you think you deserve.

Because you are allowed to deserve more. You are entitled to be happy. Fight for it.

When you’re tired, rest. Feed your soul. Take the time you need. Cry.

Or do not cry at all. If you feel like hurting yourself… please don’t. For the sake of yourself. If you feel like no one loves you, you have yourself. Be the one who loves yourself enough to stop yourself from doing the things you know, deep down in your heart, are wrong.

Be someone for you, because you owe yourself that.

When you’re tired, take a deep breath, let it be, and let it hurt.

It is going to hurt. But it is going to be okay. Reach out. Love more. Be yourself.

And it will be all right.

For it is all, all right.
