Kanye West Stops Concert To Talk About How He Feels Persecuted For Supporting Trump, Says ‘Stop Focusing On Racism’

By

Kanye West is halfway through his impressive Saint Pablo and has managed not to be involved in controversy for a few weeks when he stopped his show midway through ‘Jesus Walks’ last night to voice his support for Trump. He says he would have voted for Trump, if he voted and “Black people, stop focusing on racism. This world is racist, okay? Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It’s just a fucking fact. We are in a racist country. Period.”

No stranger to making incredibly bold and sometimes bizarre political statements, Kanye spoke for over an hour mid-show. As Vulture reports:

West allegedly told the crowd that black people need to “get over racism.” But he apparently ended the show by saying, “Neither candidate would fix racism in this country,” suggesting that West, justifiably, isn’t over racism either. He also re-declared his own run for the presidency in 2020.

Part of the rant was caught on video:

I hope an epic Twitter session is in store for Kanye to clarify a bit. Previously West has donated $15,000 to the Democratic National Committee.
