Celebration Attempt a Violent Failure for Nate Robinson of the Boston Celtics

New Yorker hoops fans, and Masshole hoops fans, are all talking this morning about last night’s epic Celtics-Knicks showdown at MSG.

Tough result for Amare and the gang: they lost by two points in a high-scoring, back-and-forth brawl. Paul Pierce knocked down a jumper with 0.4 seconds left to bring the C’s up by two, and Stoudemire answered back by sinking a three, but it was just too late (although home fans erroneously celebrated, the buzzer went off before the ball left his hands).

But the real moment of epic hilarity was Nate Robinson’s attempt to celebrate with Pierce after #34’s big game-winner. Robinson takes flight, but Pierce is too busy doing his own airplane routine to notice. Nate hits the floor pretty hard. Check it out:
