Tips For Ladies On Their Periods

“Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned,” or better yet than a woman on her period.

The tell tale signs that you are nearing your period are not really hard to guess. Most women know when they’re about to start bleeding for days or more when they crave certain things—sweets and chocolates are the common cravings.

There are those whom however have a real hard time during their pre-menstrual phase. Getting your period certainly messes up your hormones, leaving you either feeling really happy or really shit-down-low. The worst part is when depression and its best friend, Paranoia, decide to kick in together and this is where the over thinking frenzy begins.

What to do when you’re nearing your period? Simple, just keep in mind this little must-do’s to get through either your pre-menstrual phase or post menstrual phase.

Go get a nap!

Yes, sleeping helps with almost anything; when you think that you’re about to indulge in a binge eating, taking a nap surely helps. You can never go wrong with a nap. Most women have a hard time dealing with situations that they make worse by over thinking. So, when you’re down and blue, don’t forget to hit the sack for a while.

Binge on Dark Chocolates

It’s not true that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Surely, whoever who thought cold cuts of chemically formed rocks were a woman’s best friend had never had a bite of chocolate. Chocolate is known as an aphrodisiac and also helps release the so-called “Happy hormone” in the body. When you’re craving for something sweet, go for the dark chocolate. It is both healthy and good tasting.

Busy Yourself

As they say, “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” Don’t lay around droning yourself with sad music and looking out the window. Chances are you will certainly get yourself down and depressed. This is also where exaggerated thoughts are formed. These are the thoughts that only women crease when they are on their period. It sucks but you have to make sure that you are doing something productive to help with lessen your idle time.

Exercise

Exercising keeps your body healthy and well, happy as well. Don’t say we didn’t tell you so, but exercising releases endorphins, which keeps you happy and healthy. So, even if you aren’t nearing your period a little sweat now and then can do wonders to your body.

And last but not the least, make sure that you remember that you are a beautiful person and no matter how crazy your hormones get during your period, people still love you. It’s good to know that you’re feeling an emotional rollercoaster during these days and even if people can put up with you, don’t make it a reason to snap at everyone just because you’re bleeding, sweet, sweet hormonal blood.
