Love is not difficult, it’s the other crap that gets in the way that is. You have to be able to identify the difference if you want to figure out who the right person for you is.

Young love is just so new and exciting and compelling and you just can’t spend a minute without that person… and it all comes back to bite you in the ass when you break up and you’re left with nothing because your whole life revolves around your former special someone.

7. A savings account with something in it.

Look at what you want to perpetuate to other people, when you yourself can’t find the words. What strikes you most is who you are.

The relationships we thought would never end did. All the hopes we had of spending forever with someone were crushed and so were we. We had a period of rejection-induced-loathing-filled-misery. We sought all the advice there is to seek.

You can’t let go because you’re worried that if you do, what you’re so desperately hoping for will fall apart. I have news for you. You’re tearing it down yourself. Make way for the bigger, the better, the reckoning, the miraculous and the beautiful. It’s ready for you when you are.

There are a thousand different reasons people get (and stay) together and some of them can be the farthest thing from love. If this is your truth, change it. Go love who you actually love. If you don’t know who that is yet, keep living, they will come.

Life is unimaginably short and passes even faster than that; there will be enough average things in your life. Don’t let love be one of them.
