Kate Fridkis, a neurotic twenty-something writer in Brooklyn makes the seemingly crazy decision to become a mother. This is a memoir about pregnancy, and about making the huge choices that sometimes result in growing up, or at least growing.
Kate Fridkis writes the popular body image blog Eat the Damn Cake, which is syndicated regularly on the Huffington Post and Psychology Today. She writes the Mirror, Mirror column for The Frisky, and is a regular contributor at the Sydney Morning Herald’s Daily Life. Her essays have appeared on Slate, Salon, Nerve, and many more. Naturally, she lives in Brooklyn, where she always feels she is the least fashionable person at the local grocery store.
