I would always choose you. I would run to you over and over again. Every time. I would wrap my arms around you and tell you how I’ve missed you every day since you’ve been gone.

Don’t date the guy who makes you feel like you aren’t good enough, that you’re not deserving of love, that you’re not smart, or that you’re not independent. Don’t date someone who tries to hold you back from your true potential because they are scared you will realize just how great you are.

Because as strong, as independent, as happy as she is on her own sometimes she just needs a hand to hold. Someone to kiss her when she’s feeling down, someone to tell her she looks beautiful when she’s doubting herself, someone to be goofy when she’s upset because as great as being single is, it isn’t better than love.

You’ve left part of yourself in the different parts of your life. You’ve become a different version of the person you’ve left behind. Maybe that is why it is so hard for us to move on sometimes because we’ve left pieces of ourselves behind everywhere we’ve been.

Date the guy who understands the importance of treating you properly, even after they’ve had a few drinks at the bar. Date the guy who doesn’t flirt with everyone that lays eyes on him, but only has eyes for you.

All it takes is one random compliment out of the blue, a nice gesture, something atypical of them and it sends us wanting more. It satisfies the feeling we felt all along because deep down we knew they were capable of being that person.

Their “hi” holds the key to making us weak in our knees and queue the butterflies in our stomachs because infatuation is easy.
