Reya Yu
Bio
Reya went to college (NYU), watched a lot of movies, skipped a lot of classes and spent a lot of time feeling superior to the world, eventually dropping out to become a film editor. Then she realized it's really stupid thinking you're better than everyone else, mainly because it's boring, and went on a quest for humility that brought her to the shores of Shanghai, the peaks of Peru, the silence of the temple and back to the clockwork of New York. Back home, she felt confident enough and attempted to take down a major corporation, nearly almost successful but ultimately failed. It was then the Dalai Lama appeared before and kissed her forehead; her lesson learned at last. Now she works in a SoHo office, on a whole other journey that involves staying in one place for an extended period of time (at least seven hours), which is much tougher done than said. In her spare time, she writes poetry, creeps out the ticket lady at IFC, goes on a lot of first dates and gets overly excited about things like Diptyque candles. She is also constructing another plan to take down the aforementioned corporation, but this time...from inside out.
