Bio

Rawiya was born in Khartoum, Sudan, and has lived in Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Tunisia and Canada. She now lives in Brooklyn. Rawiya speaks three languages and holds a B.A. in Professional Writing from York University and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia. She tends to write about music, current affairs and culture.
