Bio

Frank Zappa once said most rock journalism is people who can't write, interviewing people who can't talk, for people who can't read. Max Mertens is trying to prove him otherwise. Originally from a small rural town in Nova Scotia, Max moved to Toronto to attend university and pursue a career in journalism. While his main focus is music journalism, he's contributed a variety of arts and culture articles to various publications in Toronto, Canada and the U.S. You can follow him on Twitter here.
