There Is No Such Thing As Failure, Only Transition

I’m about to tell you something that will change your attitude about where you are in relation to where you want to be. If you’re unhappy because you still don’t have the relationship, wealth, status or career of your dreams right now, this is for you.

You may have doubts about whether you’ll ever get where you want to be. You may think that you’re stuck where you are because you’re meant to be there. You may think that because you haven’t realized them yet, your dreams just aren’t for you.

I’m here to tell you that simply isn’t the case.

We never stay in the same place for long.
And there’s no such thing as failure.

Failure is an illusion, an idea that we get stuck on when we compare ourselves from the perspective of where we are versus where we want to be. It’s just a temporary place of rest, and although we may get tired, we couldn’t live in a place of defeat, even if we wanted to.

Defeat is not a choice we can accept.
Our dreams will always push us up and out of it.

This process is what people call destiny, the concept that ancient sages conveyed in their tales of heroes and villains.

The hero is you. The villain is your struggle to take the throne that you were born to claim. And everyone knows the hero always prevails.

If the hero hasn’t slain the dragon, the story isn’t over.

Your dream was born in you because some part of you knew you were capable of fulfilling it. It came from the infinite void within you, the same place of energy that created everything on earth. You have no choice but to live your adventure out in all of its blood and glory.

It may feel like you’ve tried at something a thousand times. You may have had your heart broken and your hopes shattered, but you’re still alive. You’re still fighting. You’re reading this because there’s a hope in you that hasn’t burned out yet, despite all the blood on your hands.

All the things you’ve experienced that you think mean failure are just the splintered steps you climbed to get to the castle.

You are stronger for your pain. Your heart is still beating. You will get there.

And one day, as you look out over the kingdom of all you’ve created, you’ll realize it. Until then, you need to trust the process. Fight with your whole heart. See your scars as reminders of the battles you fought to earn your place of rest. We only appreciate what we earn.
