1. The Fun One

She’s literally the coolest friend your girlfriend has. She’s spunky, she’s kind of quirky, she’s ebullient, and she’s always there to help out your girlfriend in times of need. Moving? She’ll be there. Down to go for a late night snack? She’ll be there. BYOB? She’s down.

The best thing about the fun one is she is always very supportive and can be the best third wheel around. If you and your girlfriend ever get bored, just invite her out and her laughter will bring your mood back up.

2. The Hot One

There will always be other hot girls that catch your eye in this world. And, in this case, one of these hot girls will happen to be a friend of your girlfriend. It’s not like you want(ed) to do anything sexual to her — you’re just aware. Remember, she’s hot so don’t be ashamed of yourself for glancing when you first met. It’s biology.

In addition, what makes the hot one stand out even more is that your girlfriend will seem to always remind you how hot her friend is when she’s looking at her on facebook, or during a party, or at a hangout. You get confused because you wonder is this a test: Do you agree that’s she hot? Will your girlfriend accuse you of being a liar if you disagree? Does your girlfriend want to secretly make out with her?

Who knows, all you know is that she’s the hot friend.

Luckily though, your girlfriend is hotter.

3. The Gay One

The gay one is well, gay. He’s the one you actually dress up for hoping he mentions how good you look. It’s not like you want to sleep with him, more so it’s this need for him to affirm you so that you become self-assured that you’re indeed hot enough for your girlfriend.

Also, for some odd reason you’ll be inclined to be his wingman when you go out because there will be this biological intuitive urge that you want him to get laid – by a very hot guy.

4. The Friendzoned Dude.

He will be the guy your girlfriend calls “Dude.” “My other brother.” “My bestie.” And if you look closely, when she calls him those names, you’ll see a hint of despair because it’ll be a reminder that he failed to get with your girlfriend.

Honestly, don’t worry about him because you should understand that he’s not smooth enough and just too nice of a guy to make a move at your girlfriend. Besides, he makes your girlfriend happy because at the end of the day he’s a really good friend to her.

So just trust your girlfriend and him enough to know that nothing will go down. If it really bothers you go talk to your girlfriend and communicate. Or, be a great wingman and find him a girl. Lastly, I’m sure you have friends who are girls that you’ve friendzoned, or who’ve friendzoned you – so let it slide.

5. The Guy Friend

This dude is pretty cool. You can tell that he has no sexual burning desire to ever want to be with your girlfriend (and vice versa). He cares for your girlfriend… like a friend. He’s also a good outlet for your girlfriend because every person (including you) needs to have platonic friends from all genders.

6. The Vulture

You have to watch out for this guy. He’s the one who is lurking around disguising himself as a “friend” and waiting to pounce until your girlfriend is vulnerable: either emotionally or physically. He’s the guy that will “accidently” kiss her while she’s drunk and be like “OOPS. I was drunk too.”

He’ll call her when you and your girlfriend are fighting so he can come over and “comfort” her. He’s an asshole who is too grotesque to even get a girlfriend so he just camps out until he can pounce.

You have no idea why she’s a friend with him, but you don’t really know because he’s a sneaky-sneaky chameleon.

7. The Girls Night Out One

This friend loves to go out and party with her girls. There is no harm because you have your own guys nights out, so why not your girlfriend? Be ready for a ton of bathroom selfies and crazy pictures with weird people they meet at the clubs. Listen, your girlfriend needs a friend like this because everyone needs a break from his or her partner every once in a while.

8. The Jump-to-Jump Relationship One

This one jumps from relationship to relationship because she’s either unstable or just has plain bad luck. When her relationships go sour she’ll run to your girlfriend and there will be long hours ahead hearing her rant about how every guy out there is a monster. Try not to get too close to her “new guy” when you go out on that double date because you never know if you’ll see him again.

In addition, she’ll say things like “How do you two work it?” “I wish I could have a relationship like you two.” Her compliments can be reassuring that your relationship is (kind of) working.

9. The One Who Hates You

This could be anyone: a sister, a close friend, a close cousin, etc., This one will always hate you: you could save a bunch of 5-year-olds from a burning bus, she will still hate you. Be nice, be cordial, and just ignore the gleam in her eye. As long as you treat your girlfriend with affectionate love, everything will be fine.

10. The Maid of Honor

She’s the one who pushes your girlfriend to be successful. She’s known for those motivational and inspirational speeches that even make you second-guess your own self-worth. This friend has got her shit together, can organize anything, and generally be savvy in everything. This is why she’ll be the perfect maid of honor when you (if you) get married with your girlfriend.

Ending Thoughts

In the end, understand and learn to appreciate your girlfriend’s friends. They are the people who support her decisions and will ultimately be the force that can make your relationship stronger.

So these are the types of friends your girlfriend has or will have. Let me know if I’m missing any, I’m curious. TC mark
