You’ll Remember Me In Sunsets And Starry Eyes

By

Say you’ll remember me
in hazy dreams
and terrible poems
in a wave of color and melodies
touching bone
touching soul.

I’ll remember you in promises
and butterflies,
like how my back hit the wall and my heart shot to the sky,
touching stars, touching night.

I’ll say your name in whispers,
touch your face in dreams,
where I blush and scream and pretend,
bright and bold like you’d want me to be.

And if this moment’s all we have
may it be worth our while,
so kiss me again and
say you’ll remember me
in sunsets and starry eyes.
