On The Days Where I Just Want To Sleep

I have those days
More than I would like to admit
Days where I’m ready
Ready to go to sleep and not wake up
Ready to see what really is on the other side
Ready to be done with the pain
And the stress
And the trials of this life

There are days
Where I’m ready for that eternal peace
We talk so much about
But I know
To everything a season
And that season has not yet come

There are still things for me to do
Still people for me to meet
People for me to affect
And people that are here to affect me
As hard as some days are
I’m not done yet
I still have a purpose
I still have reasons to be here
And as long as those reasons remain
So will I.
