According to ASAPScience, the brain of someone “in love” is chemically similar to that of someone “on cocaine.” This means the threshold on your pleasure centers has become lower, and, during orgasm or when looking at a photo of a lover, there is a surge of dopamine and norepinephrine. No word yet if the brain of someone “debilitatingly depressed” is chemically similar to that of someone “blind-drunk on 40s of malt liquor.”
